My husband is a trucker. Last night when he went to work, he noticed a small domestic rabbit left under a semi-trailer. I think it was probably an Easter rabbit somebody didn\'t want anymore; because there was a bag of rabbit pellets next to him. The poor thing was sitting in a puddle, soaking wet and shivering.

Now, I\'m an animal person(dogs, cats and horses) but I\'ve never owned a rabbit.

We brought him home, got him warm and dry. Gave him pellets and water.

He is drinking alot of water but not eating. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? What should I be looking for.

Help!!!!
He may just be to scared to eat yet. You could offer him some alpha hay or mine love grass. If he doesn\'t start eating soon you will need to find a vet familiar with rabbits and take the poor little one in. Look for diarrhea and weight loss, also even though the bunny is scared the animals eyes should be bright and alert. chek if you can the gum to make sure they are nice and pink. Gook luck! It is wonderful that you are willing to take this bunny into your home.
