My 6 yr old rabbit, Lulu, which I love dearly died a few hours ago. She had been battling with malocclusion and multiple head abscesses for the past year. The vet has done all she could.
I can tell that Lulu has been feeling increasing more uncomfortable but I have delayed putting her down at the vet because she was still eating, grooming and doing her rabbity stuff.
Her death came rather sudden. I watched her die helplessly. It is most heart wrenching to witness the muscle sparms and the 2 loud squeals she let out before passing on.
Do rabbits normally squeal before dying? Did she squeal from pain?
Please share any experiences you have.
