Yesterday I was putting my rabbit back and he jumped in to his cage and i looked at my hand and part of his tail was in my hand. I took him back out of the cage and took him to my mom and she looked for blood and there was none. but i spreaded is tail and there was a hole in it and some blood was coming out i am wondering if it is ok for that to happen.

From my current knowledge rabbits tails do not just fall of.However my younger sibling pulled the tail off my rabbit and she is fine with no medical complications to speak of.Also if your rabbit does lose its tail to a younger member of the family, take him/her to the vet immediately (I cant stress this enough)to get special rabbit antibiotics and a special pet band-aid.If it starts bleeding stay calm,it is connected to the rabbit so it will bleed a little.
