Hi everyone my name is Sara and I have 2 rabbits, Bun Bun is my female Rex6 7777and7 i have a Dutch male named Jim Bob that just ran across my keyboard lol! We just brought Jim bob home a few days ago and the introduction went awesome but Jim bob is not used to being in a house (he was kept outside) and something scared him and he attacked Bun bun.. now she makes this nervous squeeking type noise when she is near him and im not sure what to make of it.. she then runs away. but he is being really nice to her. and then they start running around the couch lol. bun bun is a chewer and jim bob is a rubber haha! but they are both great rabbits with completely different personalities and i was hoping that anyone has had the same experience and whether their rabbits eventually got along?
Thanks for any advice!
Sara
Hi Sara! i am a new member or rabbit web, also. i am sorry to say i have not heard of this happening before, but i think i can help.
first of all, you shouldn't have two rabbits in the same cage unless they are both does (girls or females) because the male might become dominate and attack. sisters are best!!!
so, i suggest you put Jim Bob and Bun Bun in seprate hutches or cages.
hope i could help,
Melissa B.
hi i have one rabbit and want to let him live in the house but my grandma won't let me, when i do bring him in i have to put our dogs out side so we are looking for a used play pen so we can put him in and i can sit in there with him. I just want to let you know that it might be a good idea for you so they won't chew on your stuff and the won't run accross your computer to get a used playpen.

you'll need to bond those two rabbits especially if both are adult. young rabbits (less than 8 weeks old) can be kept together without any problem. for adult, keep them in separate cage and place them near to each other so they can smell their buddies. gradually introduce them in natural environment where none of your rabbits have mark their territory at that area.
if you want to mate your adult rabbit, place the female into the male's cage. it's because female rabbit is very territory to its own kind and also towards other animals.
