I have a dwarf Lionhead male that is around 8 or 9 months old. About 6 months ago (when he had been with me for about a month), he started having seizures. At first I thought he was just freaked out by my cat and therefore jumping and flailing all over his cage, but when he started doing it at night I realized something was wrong. Because I was afraid he would kill himself if he kept seizing in his cage, he has been living loose in my apartment for the last 6 months. He still has seizures maybe 3 times a week and they last about 30 seconds followed by a minute or more of lethargy before he is back to his usual self. Sometimes it looks like they could be triggered by fear or over-excitement, but they usually happen at night when we are all sleeping so it's hard for me to tell. Other than the seizures he seems to be very happy and in excellent health. He's very friendly and follows me and my dogs everywhere we go, and he will come when I call him. He has some odd quirks though...he refuses to eat anything but those green alfalfa pellets and sometimes a few pieces of hay. He will not touch ANY fresh vegetable or piece of bunny food that looks like it might taste good. He also does not chew on anything at all, not the cardboard box he sleeps in or the wooden blocks I bought for him or the carpet or the baseboards or anything else that normal rabbits usually chew on. He has been that way since I've had him. He also never has accidents, he was potty-trained from day 1. Do you guys think he might have vitamin deficiencies that could lead to his seizures?

I spoke to my vet but he said there could be over 100 different causes for the seizures and I couldn't afford the diagnostic tests, so I have been letting him live out his life with the intent of euthanizing him if his quality of life deteriorates. Anybody have any ideas about what might be causing the seizures?
