Hi everyone,

I live in Hawaii so consequently, we need to fly to leave the state. I also have two bunnies which I consider family and would need to take with me if I ever decided to move.

Does anyone know about flying with rabbits? Specifically, I want to take them on board with me as a carry-on in a little travel size kennel I bought (No way I would be okay with them in the cargo area). I found a pretty good website that gives this type of information for most of the major airlines, but I also noticed that when talking about the pets they usually only mentioned dogs, cats and birds. One airline said rodents (ferrets, rats, guinea pigs) were prohibited as carry-ons, but that was it. I did not find any information about carrying on bunnies? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?

I am not planning to move or travel anytime soon but I would just like to be educated for the future so I can \"keep my options open\" (I\'m about to graduate from college and the cost of living is TOO HIGH here in Hawaii...)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! =)
I used to live in Hawaii too! I didn\'t have rabbits then so I can\'t give you any of that kind of moving advice. I can refer you to someone who did move from Hawaii and I believe she took rabbits with her. Her name is Emily Spencer and her website is http://www.elsrabbitry.com

I hope she can help you!
I\'m sure if they mentioned cats -rabbits could fly the same. You\'d have to check with the specific airline that you were flying -it is hard to say now and rules change these day so you may just want to wait and see...
I remember one flight years ago I was on, a lady (about 20 or so) had a hamster in a plastic cage under her seat. Smile
