My chocolate/orange tricolor mini rex doe, Susie, had her litter this morning. She was bred to a black/orange tricolor buck with a variety of colors on his pedigree. She had 7 babies (some are peanuts) and the colors seem like they will be a guessing game. I thinking I will need help once their fur starts coming in!! It is an unusual litter (at least it looks that way so far). Mom\'s pedigree is mostly tricolors and harlequins with a red. Dad\'s pedigree includes chinchilla, black, chocolate, and tort (quite a mix!).
Here\'s a pic I took this afternoon. Any early guesses on colors? I will post more pics once their fur starts coming in.

My bkn. black mini rex doe is due tomorrow. Expecting chocolate, blacks and hopefully (fingers crossed!) blues and lilac.

I agree about the guessing game. I think they\'ll be easier to tell when they are a little older. You\'ve definately got some brokens. We have a litter that was born on Sunday that is also somewhat of a guessing game. I think that aspect of it is half the fun. It at least keeps my brain sharp.

How about a new picture and I\'ll try guessing the colors of the kits with a little fur on them?

I have no idea what the colors are yet. It will be much easier to tell once they get older.

I love the bigger harlequin. That\'s how my one little harlequin is marked on the face. Pretty bunnies.

Well, it didn\'t take you long to figure the colors out. Thanks for the new pics. I especially like the harlequin that has more orange in it. I love the markings! So glad to hear about no peanuts. It\'s always so sad to see them because I know that they won\'t make it very long.

What pretty little kits! The harlequin that looks like it has a stipe down its back is a very nice looking rabbit. I also think that the red are really pretty!
