if you may remember i had a male that escaped and got with my female and its been about 2 weeks since this event took place , and now i noticed she is acting different and making weird lil things in her home, like burrows and so on, i feel her tummy to be very hard and she is grunting alot at me and covering her food dish . just all around odd. hMMM also her area is moist and a bit swollen.
give her a nest box immediatly she sounds like she is pregnant

Check out my article on palpation and see if you can\'t feel any embryos, but hurry...much past 16 days gestation and it actually becomes more difficult to palpate (easiest between 12 and 14 days).

If she is pregnant, she needs a nest box 28 days post breeding. Kits are due about day 31.

I would give her the nest box, better be safe than sorry.I have been palpating does for years and i told my daughter her Dutch doe was not bred.a week later she had 5 babies.that was my only goof up.bluebird
