Some reason I can\'t get my two does to breed to my buck. Is there something wrong or I have to wait another month. Pat
are they doing any thing at all and if ther not 6 months wait till then and try otherwise keep trying it will eventually work.
Are these young does or are they older does? What age and breed are they? Sexual maturity will also be a factor in receptivity of a doe. Sometimes older does, especially if they have \"rested\" from rearing litters for a while, will get \"out of the mood\" and it can be very difficult to get them to breed.

Younger does can sometimes be extremely \"virtuous\". Sometimes, they just plain don\'t like that particular buck. Sometimes they need a little \"encouragement\". You need to try them everyday until you can get them to breed. One trick I\'ve used, is to switch cages. Put the buck in the doe\'s cage (without her in it) and put the doe in the buck\'s cage. Let them spend the night at each other\'s \"house\". The next day, put the doe back in her cage where the buck is waiting for her. Hopefully, you will see results. If not, just keep on trying. Whatever you do, DON\'T leave them together for long periods of time unattended. I have seen cases where the doe castrated or killed the buck, and even one case where the buck killed the doe.

Basically, you need to be persistent. They are, afterall, rabbits...

Good luck. Smile
