A friend gave my daughter a rabbit 7 Christmas\'es ago. It seems I\'m doing everthing right. How long can I expect him to live? He\'s a golden blonde color, lives in our living room, I call him a boy because of his name stinky \"Blinky\".
I\'ve heard of rabbits living for 10-15 years. So that\'s possible especially if he\'s a pampered bunny.

Unspayed females usually don\'t live as long because there is a greater risk of cancer, so if you are wrong about the sex, then you have an old female. I have alway heard normal life span is 8 to 10 years, but 4hmomof4 is correct, some do make it to 15.
I read somewere the average livespan is 5 to 7 years, bluebird
Most sources say dwarf to medium breeds live an average of 8-10 years. I know a lady who has a 14yr old netherland dwarf. It sounds like you should have at least a few more years with him.
The 2 oldest I had were both about 7. They were a larger dutch breed. I did just have a Netherland Dwarf pass on last June but since we got him from someone at age 4 or so we really aren\'t positive his age.
The average rabbit can live 10 years -if all the cards are in his favor. A house rabbit will live longer and more comfortably since they aren\'t subjected to the extreme elements -the sun is a killer.
If you \'need\' to check to make sure he\'s a boy at this age it would be definate that his little sacks would be rather prominant -if you flip him over. Very easy to tell at that age. I had a lady once tell me her rabbit had \"tumors\" ! LOL No, lady -them ain\'t tumors! LOL
I\'m sure yours is just fine and will see a few more Christmas\'!
Love a happy bunny.
