3 Days ago a litter was born to one of my chocolate Mini Rex does. She was bred to my orange/black harlequin Mini Rex Acorn.
When they were born I knew right off there was an orange/blk harlequin in the litter but have been pleasantly surprised as their fur started coming in. I have 6 different colors in this litter!
There is the one I mentioned already, the blk/orange Harli, there is a blue/fawn harli, a solid blue, solid blk, solid red and the last one, at the moment appears to be blk with tan inside the ears and on the belly.
I am thrilled with my little rainbow of color! I\'m going to give them a couple more days to get more fur then I will get some pictures to post. The best part is there isn\'t a peanut in the bunch and they all appear healthy and to be growing normally. Even the little runt is fat and doing well.
Just wanted to share my excitment of this new litter with you all!
Wow! That\'s great! You must be so thrilled to get such a variety. I\'m looking forward to pictures.
Haa Haa... I guess they are just going to keep me guessing for a few more days. The one I thought was a blk otter is turning out to look like a castor. The coat has more of a brown sheen to it today.
And the one I thought was blk, doesn\'t look so blk today. Stay tuned.
Part of the fun is trying to figure out all the colors. It\'s ok to change your mind on colors because I sure have plenty of times!
OK, LOL....I just couldn\'t wait any longer to post pictures of them!

Here they are

So what do you all think? What do we have?
I\'ve had a couple of people tell me the one darkest kit is a blk. But to me it has a brownish tinge to it\'s coat. You can really see it in the third pic down. (above) So I took some pictures of it\'s underside, it just isn\'t a uniform blk to me.

Do you see what I mean?

Here is a pic of the other dark colored bunnies belly, a Castor right?

Well, you have 2 harlequins and the blue. The darker one with the light belly is a castor. The other dark one could possibly be a black, but maybe not a real nice uniform black? And the light one I\'d hope for red, but it may be a fawn which isn\'t a color that can be shown. The last 2 are the ones that I\'m not sure of. What does someone else think?
Well the one that looked Black initially, still could be, though with the \"brownish tinge\" I would lean toward Seal, but watch to see if ticking develops - that could mean a Steel. The Red seems really light...could it be a Fawn?

I also think the one is a fawn, and the other I agree with the seal suggestion. I really wished you were closer to me then I could trade you your blue/fawn for a tri. I guess I will keep on trying for them myself. What a litter. Tony
I agree, I think the one I thought was red initially is a fawn.
I\'ll post another pic of the \"blk\" kit in question as it gets older.

Tony, meet me half way and it\'s a deal. Wink
