hi again everyone, i want to neuture my two buns when they are old enough, but i have no clue as to how much is usually costs to do this? i was hoping that it was not too much... any idea around how much the procedure usually costs?
The cost varies from vet to vet and area to area. You\'re better off just calling your local vet offices and getting a quote.

Petey\'s neutering was $75, but I think this amount is actually reasonable compared to some prices I\'ve seen posted on this Board. Charlcie\'s right, your best bet is to call around, and while you are at it, you might want to ask how many rabbits they\'ve neutered or take care of. Vets with experience with rabbits, in my area, anyway are hard to find.
So apparently there are only two rabbit-savvy vets here on Oahu (the island we live on in Hawaii) and I called both of them to get quotes. One vet said $160 per bunny (I have two bunnies) for \"everything.\" This vet is about a 30-45 minute drive from our house. The other vet which is less than a mile from our house said $200 per bunny (and didn\'t specifiy if there would be extra charges).
I really want to neuter them both because I want them to be as healthy as possible and to live as long as they can, so my question is:
Would the drive to the farther vet be worth saving the $80, or would they have a harder time after surgery with the long car ride (they both are not fond of car rides)??

OMG, my bunny is a rescue - 3 years old (at least) and never neutered. I am scared to do it at his age, but at the same time, I want my bun around for as long as possible!! Someone please tell me if there is more risk at his age! I am certified in conformation and obedience for toy breed dogs, this is my first bun and he is absolutely the love of my life!! Please help!
