My children are wondering (and I don\'t know the answer) how old should a bunny be before showing it at a rabbit show. I heard somewhere that 4 months is an ideal age for a junior, but can they be shown younger than that? What\'s the youngest?
4 months is ideal since by then there fur is completly in and they have filled out some
They also have weight limits that allow them to be show. In netherlands(and this is going by the standard of perfection from the ARBA) under 6 months, not over 2 pounds and over 1 pound. Holland Lops under 6 months and minimum weight 2 pounds and Mini Rex under 6 months maximum weight is 3 and 3/4 minimum weight is 2 pounds. These are all for juniors. By the age of four months they should be just right.
Hope this helps. Tony Artist, Artist Rabbitry
Thanks Tony. That\'s exactly what I needed.
