on wendsday my dad awoke me and told me that i had a bunny loose down in the barn i imediatly jumped out of bed and ran down to the barn i there found my best rex doe frolicking around the barn it took me 10 minutes to catch her and it had taken my mom an hour to try to i caught her and permanantly closed her cage my dog had evidently opened her cage during the night and let her out miraceulesly nothing got her during the night i would have died if something did she is such a great bunny
That\'s very lucky that nothing got her.
My Mini Rex buck got out of his cage several years ago and the neighbors were chasing him all around trying to catch him.
I was able to walk up to him, call him by name and he ran right to me.
I put slide latches on all my rabbit cages that day and have not had a rabbit get out since.
Just last week a dog got into my rabbit area and tried it\'s best to get the doors open but those slide latches held.
I\'m so glad you had a happy ending with no mishaps.
luckily i don\'t think my puppy wanted to do any harm to my doe but mainly just got a little to excited when she came to this does cage i kindof new it was this doe before i even got down to the barn since it was keenies favorite bunnie in the whole barn
I made the mistake of not closing one of my cages all the way -sometimes it is hard in winter with gloves. I always double check before I cover them now because my crackerjack diamond was outside on the ground with endless prairies before him. Luckliy, the cat ran out and scared him into the hay barn -I was merciless at catching him since he was pretty new -and the last time a rabbit was lose my dog killed him.
Glad all out bunnies were caught without incident ...
she tried it agian and it only took me 5 min. to catch her this time i put a harness on her to let her hop around and she was so cute but then she figured out how to get out of her harness it was free rabbit i caught her though now she gets turned put into are goat kidding pens when one is empty since whe have so many little baby goats now i have to admit they are cuter than rabbits
