so did you get the email of my bunny pics?
Go Back to \"What Breed\" thread and See your Bun I think it\'s a Mini Rex but I ask N2rabbit to come by and confirm this!

I wasn\'t feeling to well yesterday and didn\'t even get on computer.
shame - sorry to here that. is a mini rex a good breed?
Hey Rachelle...

ALL breeds are \"good\" breeds. It just depends on what your situation and your needs are.

One positive regarding Mini Rex (and Rex) is that they seem to cause fewer allergy issues for a lot of people. Mini Rex are relatively small (max 4.5 lbs), so if space is an issue, that\'s a plus.

Temperament...I used to raise Mini Rex and I found them to be individuals (as are most rabbits). Most were SO sweet and gentle, but I\'d have an \"ornery\" one pop up now and then.

The only drawback regarding Mini Rex is the tendency to have thinner fur on the pads of their feet. If this is the case, they can be prone to sore hocks. Many breeders breed for thick-furred pads, so in rabbits that have been thus bred, there isn\'t the sore hock issue.

Good luck! Smile

Hey Charlcie, thanks for the reply - I really don\'t mind what breed she is - we don\'t have many shows here (or should I say many people don\'t know about them) so she isn\'t for that. She is purely for company and a good laugh now and then. She is quite tempremental (more now than ever as she is pregnant) and has bitten me a few times, but i love her to death!

the fur on her feet is quite thick and she has never had hock sores. Guessing she is a Rex mix.
i like mini rex even though i have standard rex my 4-h leader has mini rex and i think they are just adorable and so easy to handle when they act up mini rexes are just like standard rexes they are all individuals
