I have a new HL and was wondering if anyone uses 100% pine pellets for bedding. I did get a bag of Feline Pine which works great...but expensive. I read somewhere that you could use horse stall pellets if they are 100% pine...I found some at our feed mill 40 lbs for $5.99. A huge cost savings... just wondering if anyone uses them and double checking there safety.

I get one of those large cubes of wood shavings from TSC. Lasts forever with one rabbit - I only use it in the trays of the 3 rabbits in my barn. The others have straw.
I find the wood shavings extremely messy unless contained. I don\'t like them in open house cages. It gets everywhere...
