My doe had a littler almost a week ago. I\'ve been checking on the babies everyday and everything seems to be going okay. Today I checked on them and one of the kits has a very big abdomen. I don\'t know if he\'s eating too much, but I\'ve got that feeling like it\'s not right. Could he have an intestinal problem? Should I wait to see if it\'s just his size? He acts like the other kits- squealing, trying to jump, and he roots around. I\'m still new to the rabbit raising and I just thought I see if someone had some advice. Thanks!

I\'m definately no expert on bunnies but I\'m sure it would help tremendously to the real experts on here if you could post a pic of this kit with it\'s Bloated Tummy. I pray it\'s not an intestinal blockage as this could be very bad for any bunny much less a kit.
Hopefully she/he is just a Fat little thing!

hahaha!
Best Wishes!
Like Mike said, a picture would really be helpful. From your description (other than the unusually bloated belly) the kit sounds fine. Kits can sucuumb to an \"overeating disease\" that creates an imbalance in the gut flora, producing toxins and death. BUT...if this happens it is usually the entire litter that dies off - not just one kit.
I\'d take a \"wait and see\" approach. As long as the kit is energetic and reacts the same as the other kits, it\'s probably OK.
