My poor little sport dwarf hotot, Goblin seems to have gotten himself alittle cold. I have rabbit vet rx on hand -just in case, since *knock on wood* NEVER had a rabbit with a cold before... so luckily I have it and have added it to his water as suggested per the directions. It also said to put some on the nostrils and I dosed him with a few drops in his mouth. But the directions don\'t actually say how much to give. It says 8 drops to a gallon and 2 drops on the nostrils.
Any suggestions?
He is in the house and covered with a towel to prevent further drafts. Hmm...guess I have another house rabbit! *grin*

Actually, I don\'t recommend giving
VetRx orally. It\'s a good mechanical decongestant (similar to
Vick\'s Vaporub), but really contains nothing to help the rabbit fight an actual infection. I would follow the recommendations as printed on the VetRx bottle.
I know I\'ve mentioned this before, but if you want to give your rabbit something to help it actually
fight the infection, I recommend
Systemajuv. I have seen amazing results. Just recently, a friend had a similar positive experience...
Last January, I had sold a little Red Mini Satin to a friend at a rabbit show. Late September she told me this buck had a severe case of wry neck and that she felt it best if she put him down humanely. I told her to first, please give him a chance and give him Systemajuv for a period of 2 weeks. She started the treatment and called to let me know that her grandson came running in the house one morning...\"Grandma! Rusty\'s is holding his head straight!\" Needless to say, my friend is a believer now.
I don\'t get any money for recommending this product. I don\'t work for the Rabbit Medicine Chest, but I sincerely suggest others try it. It does work wonders.

I have continued the dosage on the bottle since he is so little. I don\'t like taking chances!
