I got my female rabbit spayed last monday. When she came home she would not eat for the first 12hrs after her op. When she started to eat she would only eat her straw and hay. I took her back to the vets they gave her some pro biotic to go in her water. I then gave her some green to eat which was cabbage, broccoli also gave her fresh grass, bread, dandiolion leaves. She ate those no problem, she also drank her water. Now almost a week on she is still eating her greens but not any of her rabbit food bought from the pet shops. I have tried her on diffrent types of feed but she just won\'t eat any of it. During this time she has been bright eyed full of energy which is her usuall self.
I have also been giving her treats which she eats

Is there anything else i can do to encorage her to eat her other food?
While he is surely enjoying her greens, I would limit them as they really consist largely of water - not a whole lot of nutrition. Offer a limited amount of pellets (about a handful) and top with a pinch of old fashioned oatmeal. Also continue to offer the hay free choice.

Rabbits take longer than a dog or cat to recover from a spay or neuter operation. Her digestive system is sluggish. It can take a week or longer for your rabbit to get back to normal. The probiotics in her water are a good thing.

Blackberry leaves (which grow everywhere in my part of the country) help a rabbit regain appetite. Try those if they are available. Excercise is also good.

Thank you I\'ll keep that in mind.
Cabbage is very gassy and not good for rabbits.bluebird
If you want to try something other than the greens may be try some dry cereal. Mine love cheerios! I would worry giving them so much greens.
