i need help one of my 7 new baby bunnies has just gone to the vets because its leg is bleeding what should i do now i dont no if the mother has done it and should we be handling them as our vet says we can i am so confused!!!

We handle our babies from day 1, just for a short time at first. They get used to people better that way and for show purposes they are better when handled early on. I am wondering if the mom scratched the baby? Are her nails trimmed? There skin is so gentle just like a human baby, it is new and softer than ours is(at least my children were). That would be where I would check first. Let us know and just relax and things will be all right. You are doing all the right things.

I\'m sure your bunny will be OK. Those very little guys heal amazingly fast.

It is OK to handle the kits. Like Tony, I handle my new bunnies everyday from Day One.

thanks for the info but unfortunatly all of our babies have died we just think that our mom and dad were just abit to young this time and we also think she probly had a bigger litter than she could of coped with for a first litter at her age because she probly didnt have enough milk to feed them all. thanks again but i will keep in touch
