i had a litter of 7 cals born wendsday 3 in the box and 4 on the wire well 1 of the kits that was born on the wire got its foot hung in the wire and severed the skin to the bone well since my mom was a vet it was ethical for me to try and save this kit so i took it down to mom and was prepared to put it to sleep when i looked at the kit and saw a animal that wanted to fight for its life so i had mom take the dying part of the leg off and we glued it up and put some spray on it since wendsday the kits is doing great and mommy is feeding it and all kits where saved that were born on the wire what i\'m wondering is if saving this kit was the right thing i have a feeling that it was but i\'m wondering was it right to save this kit i mean the foot caught in the wire was a back foot but he was just such a fighter how could i put him down
As long as you are prepared to give this kit a good home and provide for it as a pet, I\'m sure you did the right thing. It will adapt to the loss of the limb and never miss it. There should be no pain associated with this, so please don\'t worry.

You made a hard decision. I don\'t envy the choice that had to be made. With your mom being a vet, both you and the little one have the medical support you will need. Good luck!
well now i\'ve got 2 pet rabbits the doe ethier pulled the kit out of the box or the kit crawled out because i found the kit dead on the wire but gave it cpr and it came back to life i guess it died just as i got to it i can\'t beleive it came back to life i can\'t beleive i halped it come back to well now the kits are up at the house and are getting to see mommy twice a day i hate to do it but i think its time to cull this doe all of her litters have ended up like this
well yea i understand where your coming from , with taking them from the mother, my bun eat the feet off one of the babie, then the other 2 died and i did cpr on them and they came back to life about 4 different times, when they did, they soon froze stiff, and it was the last of them. so keep a watchful eye on them
sadly i have to leave them in the care of my mom this weekend she\'s a vet but doesn\'t know to much about bunnys

Every vet I\'ve ever met has a love and compassion for any animal, I\'m sure your Mom\'s this way and your Bunnies will be just fine.
Best wishes and Hope all goes well thru the weekend.
